About Us

Malcolm Goodchild, skipper of Big BlueLoch Fyne Dive Charters are based in Tarbert on the west coast of Scotland. The business was started in 2003 by Malcolm Goodchild, a fully qualified diver himself with a background in the fibreglass and boat building industries.

We began to take parties of divers out into the scenic and sheltered waters of Loch Fyne with the converted fishing boat Little Blue.

In 2007 we became an IDEST registered cylinder test station offering a quick and efficient cylinder testing service.

Little Blue, the original vessel of Loch Fyne Dive ChartersWe are able to offer air and nitrox fills to our customers and also to other divers who are enjoying the wonderful diving in Loch Fyne.
We carry a range of diving spares and are agents for Apex and Cressi regulators.

In 2008 Malcolm was keen to expand and so he began constructing a new custom built dive boat, Big Blue.

Big Blue is currently moored at Tarbert giving divers the chance to dive the sheltered waters of Loch Fyne during the winter, while in the summer she will be moored at Crinan, allowing access to the wreck rich waters around Gigha, Islay and Jura.
